Rebirthing
Ceremony
Our name is the greatest connection to our own identity and individuality. Some might say it is the most important word in the world to us.

There are very few milestones as important and life-changing as going through a gender transition.

To reflect the journey you have made, why not celebrate the new you and embrace all that you are and all that you wish to be. A transgender re-birthing or re-naming ceremony brings together friends, family, your community, whoever you want, to bear witness and acknowledge the person you were always meant to be.

We will work together to create a bespoke rebirthing or renaming ceremony ceremony as unique as you are, which reflects the real you - your spirituality, identity and lifestyle. Whether you'd like a ceremony packed full of energy, personality and celebration with 100s of people present, or a relaxing, joy filled ceremony with a handful of people present, together we can create whatever suits your style. And that ceremony will mark the beginning of the rest of your life.

It's a great way to tell a big group of people in your life that from that point on you'd like to be known by your new chosen name and your preferred pronouns. The venue is your choice, it could be your kitchen or back garden, your local park, a restaurant function room, by the beach, anywhere of your choosing.

This ceremony marks a very important transition in your life, leaving behind the old and looking forward to a more comfortable, confident, authentic future.
Why have a re-birthing or re-naming ceremony
Celebrate Your True Self
A re-birthing ceremony is a powerful way to honour and celebrate your new name, gender, and identity. It marks the significant and courageous step of embracing your true self and living authentically.
Affirmation and Acceptance
This ceremony provides a formal opportunity to affirm your identity in front of loved ones, creating a supportive environment of acceptance and love. It is a moment to be surrounded by those who appreciate and support you.
Create Meaningful Memories
By commemorating this milestone, you create cherished memories that reinforce your journey and personal growth. It’s a beautiful way to look back on this significant transition in your life.
Empowerment and Strength
A re-birthing ceremony symbolises strength and empowerment. It’s a testament to your resilience and determination, providing a boost of confidence and pride in who you are.
What to include in your re-birthing or re-naming ceremony
Personalised Vows and Promises
Craft vows or promises to yourself, affirming your commitment to living authentically and embracing your true identity. These can be deeply personal and reflective of your journey.

Symbolic Gestures
Incorporate symbolic gestures such as lighting a candle, planting a tree, or releasing balloons. These actions can represent new beginnings, growth, and the freedom to be yourself.

Music and Readings
Select music and readings that resonate with you and your journey. These can be inspirational poems, quotes, or even excerpts from your favourite books that celebrate identity and transformation.

Supportive Speeches
Invite friends and family members to share supportive and encouraging words. Their speeches can express their love, respect, and admiration for your courage and authenticity.

Name Affirmation
Include a formal affirmation of your new name. This can be a significant moment where you publicly declare your new name, often accompanied by a certificate or keepsake to commemorate the occasion.

Cultural and Spiritual Elements
Incorporate any cultural or spiritual elements that are meaningful to you. This could include traditional rituals, blessings, or practices that align with your beliefs and heritage.
