Celebrant Funeral
I will honour the lives of your loved ones with a heartfelt celebrant-led funeral. Whether your loved one held religious, spiritual, or non-religious beliefs, my ceremonies are tailored to respectfully reflect their individuality and values.

Working with you, and guiding you every step of the way, I will ensure that every aspect of the ceremony - from timing to content - is thoughtfully considered to meet your needs and preferences. The funeral service is a deeply personal occasion, dedicated to remembering and celebrating the unique life of your loved one.

Funeral services can be crafted to encompass both personal anecdotes and spiritual elements, including prayers, blessings, and any other meaningful traditions or rituals that honour your loved one's spirit. Often, families opt for a combination of personal and spiritual elements, creating a service that truly reflects the essence of their loved one. Whatever is right for you.

Moreover, I can incorporate inclusive language into the ceremony's introduction, ensuring that all attendees feel warmly welcomed, respected, and embraced as part of this important tribute.
As an independent celebrant I will ensure that your celebrant led funeral is one that is driven by the wishes, beliefs and values of the deceased and their family. That means you and your loved one can have anything in the ceremony that makes its completely unique and personal. As your Independent Celebrant, I may advise and suggest but do not have expectations about the way the ceremony will be.
The ceremony is created using whatever feels right for you and may include: tributes, music, readings, poems, symbolic acts of remembrance. It is your choice whether to have prayers and hymns or none. You might want to have a candle lit, or have a dram of whiskey. You might want to have your guests place craftwork made before the ceremony on top of the coffin. Or place post it notes with notes of love on the coffin. There really are many things you can do to make the service unique, memorable and as individual as the person being celebrated.

You can have a celebrant led funeral ceremony for either a cremation or a burial. You can also have a funeral service without the body present, for example after a direct cremation. You can lengthen your funeral service by booking a a double slot at the crematorium, or by continuing the ceremony after the crematorium at the wake, sometimes called a split ceremony. And you can have the whole funeral service at a venue of your choosing, a hotel, a community hall, wherever is right for you. Please do ask me for more information, there really are many options.

When you choose to have a celebrant led funeral you ensure that this final life event focuses entirely on your loved one with a style and tone appropriate to them. The ceremony will always be tailored to your loved one, it will be their story.
